SCA Field Trips

Hi All SCAers,

A good friend and I were discussing organizing art trips that cover lots of ground. She has organized some terrific trips for the Laguna Art Museum and it would be a great opportunity for SCA and friends to have her talents for our organization. These trips could possibly morph into a fund raiser for SCA. Would you be interested in investing a day traveling to La, or San Diego, Culver City etc. seeing museum shows with private docent tours, galleries, perhaps even extensive private collections?

The trips would include hiring a bus, organizing 4 or 5 venues and a lunch stop. We would most likely need commitments from 12-15 people to make the trip affordable. Cost would not exceed $125. If enough people sign up we might be able to do it for $75 (per person).

All this is open for discussion depending on who is interested. So before I spin this idea any further, I want your input.

I am writing to inform you of the passing of Janice Anderson DeLoof

Janice DeLoof, longtime SCA member, passed away Wednesday night, March 20th, after complications from lung cancer surgery. She will be missed by the arts community and all who knew her. her husband, John DeLoof, relates he is humbled by the many messages of affection and admiration for Janice.

Memorial Service for Janice Anderson DeLoof will be on April 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Morningside Presbyterian Church. The church address is 1201 E. Dorothy Lane, Fullerton, 92831. It is at the corner of Raymond Ave and Dorothy Lane.
