The Emigrant Trail

The City of Temecula will have a Dedication Ceremony for the new Civic Center on December 9th at 4:00 PM.
Address: 41000 main Street Old Town Temecula.

The new $73 million Civic Center includes a 95,000-square-foot Spanish Colonial-style City Hall, a three-story parking garage and a town square.
I'm very thankful to be awarded to do "The Emigrant Trail" mosaic mural and to be part of this project. The mural will be finally revealed. It took one year to finish. I learned a lot about the history of Temecula and the significance of the Emigrant Trail in the City's growth from 1847 to 1858.
You are welcome to join us at the Dedication Ceremony on December 9th: Ceremony, Tours, Refreshments. For more information, please call the city: 951-694-6481
If you can't make it on the 9th, on Saturday Dec 11th, they will have their Public Open House. You will also be able to see a mural done by Marlo Bartels and a mosaic fountain by artist Christopher Pardell. Beautiful works!
I'm very proud about this Public Art project and I hope to see you there.

ART4KIDS Benefit

The benefit for ART4KIDS - our SCA charity for 2010 - will be held during our SCA exhibit opening this Saturday, Nov. 13th, in Pomona. For any donation, participants will make a beaded mountain sage project which can be hung indoors or in a garden, or given to a friend.

Ages 4 to adults have enjoyed making this aromatic project! Please plan on joining in to help ART4KIDS give the gift of art materials to as many children as possible. SCA member Pam Schader founded this amazing organization nine years ago. THANK YOU!
Best, Janet Adams

Feedback Oracle Curating this weekend

This coming Saturday, October 30, ’10, is the curating for the next Southern California Artists (SCA) Pomona exhibition in December. Please see the attached file and forward it and this message to your artists’ mailing list to enable artists outside of SCA and the immediate OC area to participate and find out about SCA.

The exhibition title and theme is based upon one of many art theories that holds artists are reporters back from the future. Thank you and I hope to see you all on Saturday at the Mission Viejo Public Library, the same day drop-off, curating and pick-up site.
